Highlights planned for real life, not just the day you leave the salon
A thoughtful approach to highlights, designed to grow out softly and feel easy to live with.
Why highlights sometimes feel “off ” a few weeks later
Sometimes the colour looks great on the day, but a few weeks later the tone shifts, the blend feels sharper, or the regrowth catches your eye more than it should. That usually happens when highlights are planned for the appointment itself, not for how your hair actually grows and settles over time.
We take a slower, more considered approach. Placement, tone, and strength are chosen with grow out in mind, so your highlights soften naturally and still feel intentional as your hair changes.
How we plan highlights
that last
This approach works best for clients who value longevity, hair health, and a more natural finish over quick fixes.
We start with a proper consultation. We look at your hair history, what your hair can comfortably handle, and how often you realistically want to be in the salon.
Then we plan placement and tone around grow out. That means softer transitions, considered strength, and colour choices that age well instead of needing constant correction. The goal is a result that still feels balanced and easy weeks later, without constant corrections.
What we prioritise
We prioritise healthy hair, thoughtful placement, and colour that still looks good between visits.
We aim for highlights that blend softly, suit your natural base, and grow out in a way that feels intentional.
You should feel like your colour fits your life, not like you need to manage it.
What we don’t
We don’t aim for the lightest possible result in one visit.
We don’t chase trends that need constant correction.
We don’t prioritise speed or price over hair health and long term wear.
Good colour should feel calm, not like something you have to manage.
The studio behind the approach
Established in 2012. Decades of experience, with colour and hair condition as the priority.
Estilo is a hair studio for clients who value considered colour and long-term hair health. Our focus is on highlights that grow out softly, feel balanced, and don’t require constant fixing to look good.
Our team stays up to date through ongoing training and a technical approach to colour. We work exclusively with Davines in salon, because hair integrity and performance matter just as much as the final shade.

The team you’ll be working with
Warm, experienced, and detail focused, with a shared approach to healthy colour.
Your first appointment, step by step
First, we talk through your hair history, your current colour, and how you want your highlights to grow out over time.

Then we agree on a plan that feels realistic for your hair and your lifestyle, including how often you want to maintain it.

You leave with clarity, not guesswork. You’ll understand the plan, the timing, and how to keep your hair feeling good after your appointment.
